Top 7 Tulip Farms in Texas
Spring has sprung, and everything’s coming up … tulips! March is prime tulip season in Texas and the best time to visit a farm or garden naturally decorated with the seasonal showstoppers. From offering ideal settings for family photo ops to pick-your-own bouquets, the following flower-frenzied spots are your best bet to enjoy this year’s tulip turnout.

Texas Tulips, Pilot Point
Just north of Dallas, rows and rows of cup-shaped florals are begging to be picked, potted, and appreciated. The farm’s tulip field harbors an estimated 100 varieties of tulips, including Texas Golds, American Dreams, and fringed, parrot, and striped beauties.

Hemingway Hill, Terrell
A “U-pick” farm in the heart of Kaufman County, this young operation is the passion of a podcaster whose farming roots run deep. The flower farm’s current owner Jennifer Loyall invites one and all to visit her tulip farm this season to gaze upon her newly bloomed belles and even take a few home.

The Robinson Family Farm, Temple
Prime your peepers for more than 200,000 tulips. Hosting their second Texas Tulip Fest, the Robinsons suggest scheduling visits in mid-March when their blooms are at their bloom-iest. In addition to Holland-inspired photo ops, there’s flower picking and food trucks.

Getzendaner Memorial Park, Waxahachie
Who’s ready for Tulipalooza? The hundreds of thousands of tulips imported from their Dutch motherland are throwing their most colorful party, and everyone’s invited. In its sixth year, the flower-power celebration boasts not only the loveliest bulbs but a reason to do good. The event, complete with food trucks and tulip picking, also benefits local charities.

Sweet Berry Farm, Marble Falls
Mother Nature and the employees at Sweet Berry Farm deserve a bow for producing the rows of bountiful crops at this location. Beginning with tulips in early March, the farm also offers visitors rows of pick-your-own strawberries come mid-March. Elevated by farm activities for the kids and time to reconnect with the great outdoors, this one’s the sweetest win-win for the whole family.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Dallas
Although this location is not technically a farm, these petals have all the personality of those wild, wind-tossed wonders. The best time to see its tulips might just be during the Dallas Blooms festival when some 500,000 tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils mingle with more pretty petals.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden, Fort Worth
Another incredible spot to take in the beauty of tulips, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden was hard at work over the winter planting hundreds of thousands of bulbs, which are now blooming in rays of red, orange, pink, and white.
