Whether they're homesick freshmen or seasoned seniors, all students love getting goodies from home.

It’s not easy saying good-bye to your kiddo when he or she goes off to college. You worry about how they’ll adjust, make friends, make grades, and deal with homesickness. Give your college student a little taste of home with some of these outside-the-box care-package ideas:
You can’t expect 18-year-olds to buy Band-Aids, Neosporin, or cough medicine, can you? Send some First Aid their way to help bandage boo-boos and suppress colds.
Help your kiddo get through those long nights of cramming with a package full of delicious coffee, a stress ball, energy bars, chocolate, No. 2 pencils, and nutritious snacks.
Nothing says de-stress like a movie. Pull together a Netflix or Redbox gift card, a cozy blanket, popcorn, Junior Mints, gummy bears, and other favorite theater snacks.
This is a fun one. Take an old box of chocolates and place folded or rolled cash into each of the chocolate slots. It’s just a shame you won’t be able to see the look on your child’s face as he or she opens the box.
If your child is feeling a tad homesick, this might be the perfect remedy. Send over some old toys, a framed picture of the family, and other household items that’ll bring back good memories of home.
Are you doing everything to ensure your college student is completely covered? Find out if his or her insurance makes the grade.
