Easy Treats for Halloween Fun

We’ve all had that experience: You see a fun, cute, and seemingly easy treat on Pinterest, attempt to re-create it, and end up with a huge mess. With Halloween around the corner, creating cute and festive treats without making a new Pinterest Fail doesn’t have to be impossible. Here are a few suggestions to make your Halloween tasty, photogenic, and, of course, Pinterest-worthy.

Easy treats for Halloween

Banana Ghosts and Tangerine Pumpkins
No baking involved here! Simply slice bananas in half and poke chocolate chips in near the end of the banana halves to create ghost faces. Peel clementines and stick a small piece of celery through the center for a pumpkin “stem.”

Candy Corn Pretzel Hugs
Pretzel hugs incorporate a ton of Halloween colors without any extra effort; simply top circle-shaped pretzels with Hershey Kisses Hugs on a baking sheet. Warm the hugs in an oven that’s been preheated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for four minutes. Moving quickly, top each hug with a candy corn. Each hug should flatten out once you top them with a candy corn. If not, place back in the oven for an additional 30 seconds. Variations on this treat can be made by topping with a pecan or other small candy piece.

Hot Dog “Mummies”
For this you’ll need a pack of hot dogs and a roll of biscuit dough. Unroll the dough and using a pizza cutter, cut into strips. Wrap hot dogs in the dough and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes. Add two small dots of ketchup near one end of the hot dogs for the “eyes.”
