As most day-to-day activities have shifted online due to the spread of this coronavirus, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Agents have continued to assist policyholders while social distancing.
“We are all still here to serve you,” says Eryn Reedy, a Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Agent in Mineral Wells. “We are Texans serving Texas and taking care of our member families. No matter what you need.”
Agents understand that life doesn’t stop. So, Reedy has outlined four common insurance needs and how policyholders can get what they need remotely.
Aside from impromptu in-person visits, Reedy says getting in touch with your Agent shouldn’t change too much. Although Texas Farm Bureau Insurance offices have been closed to the public, many Agents are still working from their offices — or checking in often — to continue serving their members. If you need to file a claim, there are four ways to get this done, Reedy says.
For best results, make yourself available to your assigned adjuster through phone or email after filing a claim, Reedy advises. For auto-related claims, your adjuster will often provide a time, date, and location for when they intend to examine your vehicle, making social distancing an easy feat. But it may take a specific, strategic conversation with your adjuster for a property-related claim. Share your concerns and needs with the adjuster during the initial call.
