Life is constantly evolving. Your insurance coverage should too.

Even seemingly small life changes — like buying a new car or renovating the guest bathroom — can impact whether your insurance policies are still providing the protection you need.

Texas Farm Bureau Insurance’s 360 Review helps policyholders stay on top of changes big and small, while connecting with their Agent. Learn more about the review process, why it’s important, and how it can strengthen your insurance coverage.

What Is a 360 Review?

A 360 Review is a comprehensive, systematic, often annual policy review that offers a bird’s-eye view of your insurance policies. This review is designed to catch any potential coverage gaps, make sure your policies are current, and thoroughly assess your liability risk — all elements that can affect your fiscal well-being.

Annual reviews aren’t necessarily rare, but 360 Reviews — and the way they’re conducted — help set Texas Farm Bureau Insurance apart from other companies.

“360 Reviews help us ensure that we are keeping you insured properly from year to year versus just letting [your coverage] lay stagnant,”  says Jordan Louder, a Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Agent in Graham.

It’s also an opportunity to continue to build on the Agent-policyholder relationship, Louder says.

The annual review is grounded in getting policyholders exactly what they need as life moves along, instead of writing a policy and forgetting about it until an issue arises. With some companies, a policy can stay as is for years until a policyholder inevitably has a question.

“Often, those questions come at the wrong time, because they normally come when there’s an issue, and then there’s a bad finding of a gap in coverage,” Louder explains. “I want to have the hard conversations now, so we don’t have to have the hard conversation in the future.”

Texas Farm Agents are always eager to help policyholders navigate questions about coverage and the claims process. But 360 Reviews help find gaps in coverage before an issue arises, squashing the would-be difficult questions.

What Sparks a 360 Review?

Pretty much any life event, big or small, can spark a 360 Review. “The good and the bad are reasons we need to touch base,” Louder says about life events. “We only know what is told to us. … [If it’s a] worst-case-scenario [life event], we can address it at that time and get it straightened out to avoid gaps.”

A 360 Review allows for these types of conversations and helps Agents close any lingering coverage gaps.

Some of the most common reasons for a 360 Review include:

Although a review can be scheduled at any time, Louder recommends planning one around your annual policy renewal. It’s a natural opportunity to discuss updates, identify potential discounts, and confirm that coverage still matches current circumstances.

What Can a 360 Review Catch?

A 360 Review is great at catching coverage gaps, but it can also flag areas where you’re overinsured. For example, maybe you’ve got multiple life insurance policies from past jobs that you’ve forgotten about — or that have lapsed. It might be time to consider a life insurance policy from an independent company. Or maybe you’re still carrying both comprehensive and collision insurance on that old beater you use for farm chores. No matter the situation, a 360 Review can help you see what you have and what you need.

Louder encourages policyholders to look beyond the premium price when comparing policies. Less expensive coverage isn’t always the most comprehensive. “You’re not comparing apples to apples — not just price, but benefits,” she says.

A little bit of your time can go a long way in giving yourself peace of mind that your insurance is protecting what matters most as your life evolves.

Louder’s advice for anyone who hasn’t reviewed their policies in a while is straightforward: “Pick up the phone. Call your agent.”
